Sandy Wynn

Sandy Wynn joined the Office of Internal Audit in June 2026 as Director of Healthcare Billing Compliance and Internal Auditor. In her role as Director, she provides leadership and oversight for the University’s healthcare billing compliance and integrity programs. As an Internal Auditor, her typical assignments include performing all types of audits, investigations, and consultations with our campus clients.

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Administration and a Master of Public Administration degree (MPA), both from East Carolina University. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

Before joining the Office of Internal Audit, Sandy served in Institutional Integrity at East Carolina University. In addition, she has a background in clinical department administration, having previously served in administrative roles at East Carolina University.
