Stacie Tronto

Stacie Tronto served as the University’s Chief Audit Officer  from 2002 through May, 2018.  Stacie led the development of the office’s policies, procedures, relationships, and reputation as one of the premier audit teams in the state of North Carolina.  She also played key roles in the development of the Internal Audit function at Elizabeth City State University, and remains highly sought after for her expertise and insight in the profession of internal auditing.  Stacie completed her outstanding career at ECU with more than 30 years of accounting and auditing experience in the higher education industry.  She is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Stacie earned her B.S. in Accounting and her MBA from East Carolina University.
